So I realized I'm more than a year behind on the ole farmhouse blog. Ug. So here a little catch up. We had bats. Lots of them. It was miserable. (And Isaac is hilarious in that moment! Safe to say he doesn't like those little suckers!) We caught one (he...I helped but not before he had a box over it-I didn’t want to SEE it!!!!!) anyway he walked out a 100 yards or so from the house and he let it go...and watched it fly right back in our basement. UG. In the end we ended up paying the "Bat Man" to do his thing. A little expensive (Afterward Isaac was convinced he could have made the same device for a few bucks...and you and I both know that is what he'll try first if we ever have the problem again) but seriously. WORTH EVERY PENNY! However the bat problem did facilitate finishing the sheet rock by the bathroom. After he watched the bat fly into the basement he wasn't so keen on having open space up into the house from the basement. I had thought the h...

Because I'm a Southern Utah gal I kepts trying to take pictures of this crazy phenomena we call ice!!! But they never do it justice. Its crazy. Its slick.  And I know this doesn't show it but its really pretty too. Use you imagination to picture this tree coated with Ice and glistening in the sun! Its beautify...but if this picture is all you have to go off you're going to have to just take my word for it. HAHA!  And would you believe that I really only had 1 farmhouse project pic from the month of February. Crazy right! Here is Isaac up working on the upstairs bathroom.  Maybe his plan was to have it done before his Mother in Law showed up...but that didn't work! Because our little brother showed up!!!! A true farm boy. Welcome Seth. You’re in for it bud-but it’s a good life!!

Phew! Now I’m only a year behind Farm life!  This is our driveway after we got back from a temple trip to Nauvoo.  And Grama and Grampa came...of course we had to project it! This one was the bookcase.  And me taking Isaac the tractor after he slid off the road at the top of our road.  Again.  Farm life. I swear!  Not just us sliding off the toad... And Grama working on the backsplash project. We think we’ll do it for real some day but for now... Stickers it is!  We have a little Mexican joint we like to go to that has the same kind of stickers. They look terrible. I think ours looks better.

Lots of clearing the driveway with the tractor.  The threshold project.  Annnnnd what do you think Isaac did on CHRISTMAS DAY?!?! Not my idea of a Christmas activity but whatever... Tanner and I put together the trundle bed.  And that’s all I’ve got!

Projects were minimal in November, indoor only.   Because snow was plentiful!  It was the start of a heck of a winter-worst one since we've lived here fore sure. I think the kids ended up having 10 snow days...or something like that. Anyway lots. But hey-when you live at the farmhouse-no need to go elsewhere to have fun!!

Oct 2018... Zipline it is.

This is “the hut”  And we talked about getting the chimney cleaned out but at mere mention of it he did it himself. It a rule- never pay anyone to do anything you could possibly do yourself. The other have of the rule is: if you have a question watch a YouTube video. 🤣 Of course I’m just giving him a hard time...but it’s kinda true.  He’s great. I love him! Annnnd he definitely gets himself into more projects than  I would go for. Luckily I can take pictures-tell stories-and for the most part just got with it.  Splitting wood. The truth is we ended up buying a few loads but time you do that building a fire doesn’t save much.  And now the zip line! My best story about this I don’t have a picture, I was driving the tractor for him helping pull the cable tight. It was getting tighter and I turned around looking behind me at him when I turned back to face forward and bother front tires were 3-4 feet in the air!!!!! I slammed the brake and clutch and rol...
