Upstairs...

Image
Upstairs started like this...So much crud. Have I mentioned yet here on the blog that upon taking possession of this place we filled a 30 foot dumpster! We could use about 3 more...but instead we've just taken to burning things. Of course I have stories along those lines but I'll try to stick with upstairs here...   But we got all of her junk out of there.   Mudded in that gross chimney.   Got some carpet. (I think it was 2 days before we moved in.)   And oddly...upstairs became kind of a little sanctuary when everything else was in upheaval mode! This picture was June 1st...I just needed one little space...even if there was still painters tape up. (I've since learned I should have pulled that stuff off right after I painted! Whoops. Its not like a little patch work is going to be a big deal around here--but still.) How bout that darn couch, that we shouldn't have moved from Ivins, and I swore I wouldn't move from MIssissippi, and "for ...

Rednecks... the Beverly Hill Billies... D all of the above! I can't believe I only got one picture of the one load this time. Probably because who do you think is loading assistant was? That's right, ME! But this particular load we were bouncing our bookshelf shelves every 1/2 mile or so! Whoops.   But the move reminded me a LOT of how Isaac pulled out of Ivins...and into Mississippi. Somethings change in 6 years...and some things stay the same. HAHA

Just off the beat'n path...

Life at the farmhouse. I thought I'd post a few...or a lot...of pics of why I would ever even go for this place. Not for Isaac-sorry hun, love ya though. But totally for these little boys. What a fun place to grow up. (I hope.) On the 4th when we were doing sparklers my mom commented that the sparkle in their eyes fire exceeded the fireworks--and its true. So here's some pics of farm house fun.  Those are the NEIGHBORS cows...just to clarify. And actually that is now a cornfield. (Which I'm dreaming up a really cute family picture in front of...we'll see.) This is "the hut" its all green now though... And is there any wonder why we have to check for ticks, every, single, night! Little green (before she died...and now again after Isaac has rescued and brought her back to life) is the best babysitter for Tan. That little car saved us early in the remodel process. This is the dog Aiken that came w...
