Boys Room

I couldn’t start with the worst pics because when I post it to FB that is all that shows up. Yuck. So this is a mid way through poor attempt at a panorama shot. Whatever right?

The boys were are all sharing a room. There's enough rooms for them not to, but I thought it was good for them.  Since this post was started (a year ago+ Cannon moved out with the contingency that he would then share with his new brother-and he does. But it might switch up again when school starts and Cannon and Colt have to get up but Seth and Tanner could still sleep...who knows?! Time will tell) Tanner had his own room at the rental house but he loved being a big boy with his brothers so we went for it. Barracks Style!
The before pictures came from before we got the power turned on here so there an iphone flash special.

And then on the one we had natural light from the window lighting part of it.
Sheesh I might have PTSD just looking at them again.

Now I like blue...its actually my favorite color...but I wasn't sold on the two tone and check out the pic below. There was A TON of holes and stuff to patch. Some bratty disrespectful (teenagers I guess...I don't really know and that might sound judgmental of me, but...writing all over the walls stupid stuff like so and so "________Was here" BB holes,  just overall disrespectful of property) Anyway so goodbye blue.

And the story with the trim and ceiling and stuff was they guy who lived here -and raised his family here, that passed away, had actually milled all that wood himself with his grandpa. I think its really cool...but really I just really don't like the color. Its too Honey-ish. BUT I wasn't going to touch the ceiling or the closet wall so I decided instead of painting over the trim as was my original plan to go ahead and tape it off because it tied in.

Help from friends

First camp out at their new house in their own room! (We did still live at the rental at this point...it was not  living here camping. Yet. Just to delineate-ha)

Back when the floor in the kitchen/dining room didn’t exist 5 huge and heavy boxes showed up and Isaac was groooouchy about it! He came home and grumbled “I don’t know what your moms been buying but it’s HEAVY” translation thanks Grama for buying the bunk beds...not exactly. He hated them and especially the color but didn’t want to pay the shipping to return them. (She bought the ugly color trying to match the ugly trim...made sense to me...) He wouldn’t put them together, until the boys nagged him into it. (I mean, that was an easy out though there were -are- 5000 other projects that need to be done)  Then they did just the basic 2 bunks while I was gone to girls camp last year.
Anyway the whole debacle was awful! She was trying to help...he didn’t want it! He’s usually so patient but I guess the stress got to him or something. Whatever all I know is I am SUPER THANKFUL my mom and Isaac are friends again!
Phew
So they put the 2 beds together and we just left a mattress on the floor in the trundle spot.

But Only Tanner was brave enough to sleep on the top-so it became his.

Then one of her trips out she and the boys put together the Bunk bed stairs

And Tanner and I built the trundle over Christmas break.

And now 7 months later I’m getting the blog done.

7 more months to decorate??? Na...we just need another Grama trip 😊
